During the wonderful 70s many of us enjoyed the privilege of working on the ‘deck chairs’ with John.

For all of his undoubted brilliance as an engineer and designer...we will always remember him at his happiest, dressed in a pair of shorts with a ticket machine around his neck.

I’ll never forget his quote “All I need is a hut on a beach!”
